welcome to another Cold Start Video here on GB Productions. This time, we’re featuring Greg’s grandfathers 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible in a sort of revival video. The car has the 283 cubic inch (4.6 L) small block V8 with a 3-speed manual transmission up on the steering column. This video fits directly into our second category of cold start videos as defined in the article on the 1992 Jetta we did a cold start video on back in February. In brief, that second category had to do with starting cars that hadn’t been ran for a long period of time.
Anyways, the car started up without too much trouble, there are issues with the throttle not functioning properly, along with the automatic choke on the carburetor being non functional, among other issues. Once the car got going, all that needed to happen was to put air in the front tires and it was ready to roll! The frame of the car is essentially totally rotten, and for that and other reasons it is unlikely we’ll feature this car as a restoration project but you never know, plans could change!
Anyways, if you like this video, please like, comment, and subscribe if you’re new! Enjoy!
